1. Bumpnest Pregnancy Body Pillow I know I've mentioned this pillow before but it really is a great item to have throughout pregnancy. Ken got me this for Christmas and I'm so glad he did. You do have to try it out in different positions until you find what's most comfortable for you but it's great for sleep or even just propping yourself up in bed to watch TV.
2. Gap Supersoft Maternity Leggings I think I've mentioned these before as well..and for good reason. They are the comfiest (is that a word?) leggings I've ever had. Extremely soft and stretchy which is a must when you're body is getting bigger by the hour day. I know I'll rock these even when I'm not pregnant because they.are.that.amazing.
3. Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm My sister turned me on to this chapstick when she was visiting over Christmas. I tried hers out and immediately had to have one of my own. It makes your lips super super soft and doesn't leave that nasty white film after wearing it awhile. Especially great in pregnancy since your skin and lips can be extremely dry due to those lovely hormones.
4. Sleep Shirt Another nod to my amazing sis..she got me a sleep shirt from Victoria's Secret for Christmas and it has been a saving grace these past couple weeks. All of my old comfy shirts I used to wear to bed are too tight and feel uncomfortable. These sleep shirts are super soft and easy to wear with a big belly.
5. Starbucks Stainless Steel Tumbler Ken got me this tumbler sometime last year and I was a bit skeptical about it at first. It's not as "cute" as the traditional Starbucks tumbler but is way more practical and durable. A few things I love about it is it doesn't sweat, the ice NEVER melts in it which leaves me with ice cold water for literally hours and hours.  I bring this thing with me to work, to bed, and everywhere else in between. It's da bomb.
6. Philosophy Living Grace Lotion I know I've talked about this lotion in previous posts as well but I just can't rave about it enough. It is hands-down my favorite lotion of all time. The entire Philosophy line is just amazing and totally worth splurging for. The Living Grace scent is my favorite. It's subtle, feminine, and clean...exactly how a preggo would like to feel :) Plus, I think it's really helped keep my skin moisturized, hydrated, and has prevented stretch marks. Philosophy for the win!
7. Pandora Internet Radio Who doesn't love Pandora? I have it on all.the.time whether it's sitting at the computer, on my phone while I'm getting ready in the bathroom, or blasting in my car. When I'm listening to it on my phone I sometimes put it on my belly and like to think baby girl can hear the music and dance around :) A few of my favorite stations this pregnancy have been Lorde, Imagine Dragons, and Today's Hits. Baby N will love music as much as her mama does!

30 weeks

How far along: 30 weeks
Size: A cucumber!
Gender: Girl

Fun Fact: Little peanut's hair is growing thicker. She can open her eyes, dream, and weighs just under 3 pounds!
Weight Gain: 19 lbs
Symptoms: A big ol belly & achy feet by the end of the day
Maternity clothes: Still mixing maternity with my regular stuff. I went dress shopping the other day to find something to wear to my baby shower and it was a bit depressing. Why can't my regular go-to stores have a maternity section!?
Stretch marks: Nada
Belly button in or out: I'd say still 50% out, 50% flat..I'm hangin on to it!
Sleep: Sleep is good, no complaints
Best moment this week: Nothing really stands out. We finally got the rocking chair and get to set it up today so I'm pretty stoked about that. The nursery is nearly complete! Just need a sweet babe to finish it off :) I can't wait to share pictures of it once it's all done!
Worst moment this week: Can't think of any
Miss anything: Running, hiking, & having energy after 3pm
Movement: Holy hiccups. She gets them several times a day. Pretty much after anything I eat I can feel her start to hiccup! It only lasts a few minutes and feels sorta strange...like a constant "popping" in my pelvis.
Cravings: Cereal, fruit, waffles, string cheese, peanut butter toast, and greek yogurt have been my diet staples.
Queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: Maternity pictures this weekend by the amazing Jasmine Amber Photography! She did our engagement and wedding photos and now she'll get to do our bump session! Easter is coming up and although we don't have set plans yet, I'm really looking forward to eating some deviled eggs, jelly beans, and other Easter goodies!

And just to compare how big my belly has gotten...

29 weeks

Saturday, April 5, 2014

How far along: 29 weeks
Size: A small pumpkin
Gender: Girl
Fun Fact: Baby girl is over 15 inches long and getting fatter by the day :)
Symptoms: Exhaustion by 2pm, peeing every 30 minutes, and I officially have to do an open-leg squat in order to pick anything off the ground. Tying my shoes has become quite the challenge as well.
Maternity clothes: Yep, but I'm happy to say I still fit into my regular jeggings with a hair-tie trick closure ;) I can still pretty much wear "non-maternity" stuff as long as it's a size up from what I would normally wear.
Stretch marks: Nope!
Belly button in or out: I'd say it's 50% out and 50% flat. It's odd. I'm thinking my answer to this next week will change...
Sleep: Still sleeping pretty good. I can still do long stretches but wake up every couple hours or so and turn side to side. This week I've found it a must to sleep with a pillow between my knees. Why didn't I do this before? It's so comfy!
Best moment this week: I turned 27!
Worst moment this week: I turned 27!
HA. Oh, and my doctor's office called and are putting me on an iron supplement since my hemoglobin was low. Boo. However, I did pass my 1 hour glucose tolerance test, yippee!
Miss anything: A glass of vino, fitting in a swim suit
Movement: Yep love all her little movements. I even felt some hiccups a few times this week! Just feels like a "pop" every couple seconds. So crazy to think there's a real baby in me....HICCUPING.
Cravings: Nothing really in particular this week. If you're eating it, then it sounds good to me.
Queasy or sick: Naw
Looking forward to: April in general! It's one of my favorite months of the year and we have lots going on this month! Next week we take some maternity pictures and in a couple weeks we get to have our baby shower! I can't wait to get everything done in the nursery and all our goodies organized. Is it too early to start packing a hospital bag?!

28 weeks

Tuesday, March 25, 2014

How far along: 28 weeks
Size: Extra large. JK...around the size of a squash..or a large bag of doritos
Gender: 100% girl!
Fun Fact: We had an ultrasound yesterday and baby girl looks perfect! She still has a 2-vessel umbilical cord (not like thats gonna change..but was just confirmed again), she's head down-not breech (yay!) and her estimated weight is 2lbs 3oz! She could still change positions before she's born but I'm really hoping she continues to keep her head right where it's at :)
Weight Gain: 17.5 lbs.
Symptoms: Moving around a bit more slowly, especially by the end of the day. Still having a few Braxton Hicks every now and then and tons of movement!
Maternity clothes: Still mixing maternity with my regular stuff.
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: Eh, 50/50. Really not looking forward to it popping out.
Sleep: Sleeping great still, anywhere from 8-10 hours a night.
Best moment this week: Making it to the third trimester! We're in the home stretch! We had an OB appointment and an ultrasound this week so that was fun and exciting. She's looking so big and I keep contemplating whether or not to splurge and have a 3D/4D ultrasound done so we can see more of her. Ken thinks it's a waste of money, and it probably isn't worth $100, but it'd be so cool to see more of what her face looks like! I'm so glad that the whole 2-vessel cord thing isn't interfering with her growth. The US tech said we probably wouldn't have another US until 37 or 38 weeks buuut I just might try to convince my OB to give me one in between then juuuust to check her growth one more time ;)
Worst moment this week: My OB told me she's going to be out of the country for 2 weeks and leaves June 14th! 3 days before my due date :( I'm praying this little girl comes the first or second week in June so my OB can deliver her! Fingers crossed! (Of course this means she'll probably come late, grr.) I also had my glucose tolerance test this morning where they make you drink the orange drink and wait an hour to draw your blood. The worst part was the fasting and the horrible sugar headache I had after drinking it. Yuck!
Miss anything: Some more energy would be nice
Movement: Yes and lots of it! I still feel her most in the morning and at night. Annnnd after a good meal :)
Cravings: Well the past couple days I've been craving a lemon bar (random) soo I have some baking in the oven as I type this.
Queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: Fitting in a swimsuit again, maternity pics, our baby shower, and the arrival of this little peanut! Please come in 10 weeks! ;)

27 weeks

Tuesday, March 18, 2014

How far along: 27 weeks
Size: Cauliflower
Gender: GIRL
Fun Fact: Her eyelashes are formed and she's beginning to open her eyes!
Weight Gain: I'll find out for sure tomorrow at my OB appointment
Symptoms: Getting larger by the hour day and falling asleep by 3pm. I think I've also had a few braxton hicks this week...? Just feels like a lower tightening/cramping feeling. Eeek!
Maternity clothes: If I'm not squeezing into my scrubs then I'm usually in maxi's or pj's.
Stretch marks: None that I've found! Hooray!
Belly button in or out: Half in, half out.
Sleep: Actually it's been pretty good this week. Using my body pillow on and off still and still feel most comfy on my stomach in the mornings when my belly is least big.
Best moment this week: This is my last week in the 2nd trimester so that's pretty exciting! We've also gotten alot done in the nursery including getting AND painting her dresser, organizing the dresser/closet, putting all the prints in frames, and also painting this little side table we've been dragging around for years. I'm loving the way it's all coming together and can't wait to share pics :)
Worst moment this week: I found out a friend of mine lost her baby, she was about halfway through pregnancy. So sad and devastating. It makes me feel nervous all over again like in the first trimester.
Miss anything: Energy!
Movement: Yep, getting stronger and more frequent all the time. I even caught it on video the other night so I could send it to my sister in Virginia, pretty cool!
Cravings: Irish I could have a green beer but for now I'll stick with me Lucky Charms ;)
Queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: Our ultrasound next week! It's been almost two months since our last one so we're so so eager to see what she looks like now! We also have tons of fun stuff coming up next month including my 27th birthday (yikes), our maternity photo shoot, and a baby shower! Oh, and I think Lucy is getting pretty excited to become a big sister...can't you tell!?

26 weeks

How far along: 26 weeks
Size: Lettuce
Gender: Girl
Fun Fact: She weighs about 1.5 pounds, her lungs are developing air sacks, and her eyes are fully developed :)
Weight Gain: Last I checked it was 16.5 pounds...oy.
Symptoms: Exhaustion. I have energy from around 10am-2pm and that's about it!
Maternity clothes: Yes and no. Still rockin lots of maxi skirts. The other day I did wear a pair of my regular shorts (that used to be a bit big on me) and they fit pretty well! I think maternity shorts are probably the ugliest piece of clothing I've ever layed my eyes on so I'm hoping to be able to wear my regular shorts from here on out...wishful thinking?
Stretch marks: Nope. Not sure if it's because my mom never had them and they tend to be genetic if you get them or if I just lather too much Philosophy body lotion on me to keep my skin nice and soft and stretchy.
Belly button in or out: Getting flatter by the day! So strange.
Sleep: Sleep has been pretty good this week. Getting 10-12 hours a night! And I bet I could probably do a 3-4 hour nap in the day but I really hate naps.
Best moment this week: Less than 100 days to go! Well, exactly 98 days which is 14 weeks or a little over 3 months...but who's counting? So crazy that we're in the double digit countdown now! This entire pregnancy has flown by it's hard to believe. I'm just trying to enjoy every second of it!
Worst moment this week: No complaints
Miss anything: A cold beer on a Friday night, a pair of jeans that fit just right ;)
Movement: Yep! Lots of it! I've attempted to get her kicks on video a few times but always miss it! I'm determined to get it on film at some point to send to my sis since she won't see me until this pregnancy is over :(
Cravings: Ugh, everything bad you can think of. Still loving iced coffee w/a pump of mocha & waffles, but also loving chocolate, strawberries, bagels, & peanut butter toast. Breakfast is definately my favorite meal of the day. I've noticed that I'm just not hungry at all for dinner. I think I eat too much during the morning that I'm just too stuffed by the end of the day!
Queasy or sick: Nope
Looking forward to: Getting the dresser and rocker for the nursery. Theres so much stuff on the floor in the nursery that needs to be organized and it's starting to drive me crazy! We're also really looking forward to our ultrasound in a couple weeks! CANNOT wait to see how big she is getting!!

25 weeks

Friday, March 7, 2014

How far along: 25 weeks
Size: A squishy little squash :)
Gender: As far as I know she's still a she
Fun Fact: She is starting to grasp her hands and wiggle her fingers & toes!
Symptoms: This week I've been feeling some dull cramping, possibly my uterus stretching? It feels similar to how it did in the first trimester. Exhaustion is also still lingering.
Maternity clothes: Still mixing maternity with my regular clothes
Stretch marks: Nope
Belly button in or out: It's definately becoming more flat...
Sleep: Eh. Sleep is still just OK. I use my body pillow some nights and other nights I'm more comfortable without it. Some nights I wish I could sleep on my back but know that it's not very safe to do that at this point, plus it makes me short of breath.
Best moment this week: Hmm, nothing in particular. It's been a good week!
Worst moment this week: Work is getting more and more difficult and tiring. We've been especially busy the last few days which has left me completely exhausted. The other night I came home after one of the busiest shifts I've ever worked, climbed into bed, and just cried from feeling so overwhelmed and stressed. Blah.
Miss anything: Naw
Movement: About the same as last week. Still feeling her more and more, especially in the morning and evening. I think I'm starting to feel more actually movement, versus just little kicks here and there.
Cravings: Did you see the picture? Iced coffee & waffles are my current loves.
Queasy or sick: Nope, feelin great!
Looking forward to: An IKEA shopping spree very soon! The nursery is beginning to come together a bit more and I'm lovin it!
